DEDICATIONS, PLEDGES, COMMITMENTS. "For the past. For my own path. For surprises. For mistakes that worked so well. For tomorrow if I'm there. For the next real thing. Then for carrying it all through whatever is necessary. For following the little god who speaks only to me." ~ William Stafford

LOL. I picture the debate going something like a high school senior class presidential debate in which one candidate talks about the future, and what it means to graduate in these heady economic and political times and the other just screams: "More free lunches! Longer recess! No more detention!"
Unfortunately, the latter appeals to the ice-cream-fed, checked-out, apathetic and disenfranchised populous.
She was fabulous. Old Joe just kept spouting numbers. Thought my brain would melt. But he was a good boy--his foot didn't go in his mouth once that I could tell. No more FDR and TV mistakes.
She did well, I thought. It's been awhile since I've heard from you--glad to see your post, Norma!
PWDJ--your analogy is brilliant!
