For Batman

Here's another very old tree, from Cove Fort, Utah, over 150 years old. They have all these little saplings growing from its roots that they are nurturing, so when the tree dies, they will replant with them!

My great grandpa used to drive a stagecoach from Scipio to Cove Fort back in the day. When one lady passenger complained that it took a pretty poor driver to hit every hole in the road, he is reported to have said, "No ma'm. It takes a damn good driver to hit them all!" This tree was here when he was!

I love gnarly old trees; that's a great one.

Normally I wouldn't clutter up a comments section with this, but I wasn't sure where else to send it...
I only just noticed this now (and it's probably been like that forever), but your link to my site The Mimosa Effect goes to an old post instead of the main page. The main page is: http://www.celticharper.com/blog/

Thanks for keeping me up there even though I've been a bit neglectful visiting lately. I'll be sure to check in tomorrow in case there's a poem up (?).

Cheers!

You know what? I have your correct page address on my bookmarks, I just don't know how to get rid of old dead links from my link place. So they just lie there and won't decompose. However, my son knows how, if I can just catch him for a couple of minutes he can probably clean it up for me....

Batman DOES love it and wants to have some artistic fun with it! Thank you so much, Pepek.

Cove Fort is at the center of a holocaust that to date has burned more than 300,000 acres surrounding it, in fact, right up to the parking lot. The Fort, and this tree, are untouched. A little island of green in the middle of mountains and mountains of charred cedar trees.
