Thinking Bloggers!

I was recently nominated (WooHoo! First time!) for a Thinking Blogger Award, by Desert Rat, my good NaNo buddy and poet friend at celticharper.com ...Thankyouthankyouthankyou, DR. Now, here are five blogs that make me think:

newdharmabums.blogspot.com -- to roger and robin andrea for caring about the earth and its creatures, for their sharing of wildlife, and receipes, and their knowledge of the Good Life.

Maureen, at ravengrrl.blogspot.com --for both of her blogs: her photo blog, Land of Little Rain, and for RAVEN'S NEST. Both are terrific. She wins the #1 Photographer blog in my book!

parisparfait.typepad.com -- gives wonderful and informative European tours of places I will never get to see in real time. I love traveling! Thanks for taking me along!

knownunknowns.blogspot.com keeps me current with his insightful and informative political and newsy posts. He's very smart and opinionated. Has a wealth of good links to offer!

jefflindsay.com --an "eclectic little site" of satire and spoof and serious writings on many topics. Contains some religious material, so may not be for everyone. This is called Cracked Planet on my sidebar. Has a great quote from William James on his sidebar: "A great many people think they are thinking when they are really rearranging their prejudices."

(So sorry I don't know how to link directly to these sites. Please check them out anyway! You'll be glad you did!)

Thanks for the mention. Too bad we're not as active as we were! Also I plan on changing subject matter emphasis in the weeks to come, so stay tuned...

Hey Pepek - Cool to see your list up! I'll be bookmarking all those sites to visit later.

Just FYI, if you want to make something into a link, there are two ways to do it in blogger:
The easiest is to swipe and select the thing you want to make into a link, and click the little link button in the menu at the top (it's next to the buttons for formatting text), then just type in the URL and hit "okay".
You can also do it by going into the "edit html" window, and using this bit of code:
name of site (that also allows you to change already existing links)

cheers!

Doh! Of course, when I did that it automatically formatted it as a link! Let's see if it'll work this way. In the html edit window, put the following in triangular brackets <> before the thing you want to make a link:
a href="URLofsite"
and this bit in triangular brackets after it:
/a

If you have any questions you can email me through the main celticharper.com page.

I just now (duh) found your blog post entirely by accident and -- surprise! I'm on your thinking bloggers list. Congratulations on your award - you are one of my thinking bloggers for sure. WooHoo! So thanks -- I haven't been blogging quite as much lately -- mostly we've been out of town and I'm also really busy with the construction (landscape design) season. Everybody wants a new garden -- and they want it now! BIG sigh. Anyway thank you for your vote of confidence. I will have to spend some time this weekend voting for my thinking blogger picks.
