Confessions
(And, check out Ren.Kat at sidestepping real, who has confessed that she....)
The rules come first:
1. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their 8 things and post these rules.
3. List 8 people you choose to tag.
4. Leave them a comment telling them they're tagged and to read your blog.
* * * *
1. Like ren.kat, every time I go to a live performance the old thespian in me wants to leap up on the stage and join them. And when the show is over, I always go away with this ache in the pit of my stomach, a hole, a void. But it's not as bad as it used to be.
2. I have been, among other things, a nun (twice) and a stripper. :D
3. I need glasses to read.
4. I eat when I am bored. Or sad. Or happy. It doesn't even have to taste good. Old soda crackers. Cold spaghetti. That sort of thing.
5. Let's see....I have almost as many shoes as Imelda. At least half of them I have not worn for a year or more. Some of them have no mate. (I went through them yesterday and I will get rid of many of them. I will.)
6. My closet is full of things I have not worn since 1979, that no longer fit. (I have a real phobia about keeping things I might need someday.)
7. I am not a willing housekeeper, and I am not a good cook (although I do enjoy eating!)
8. Ummm, I absolutely LOVE quantum physics (even tho' I can't understand most of what I read, I LOVE speculating about 16 dimensions and alternate universes and things existing in two (or more) places at once!)
And the 8 of y'all, with love:
Pris at Songs To A Midnight Sky
Maureen at Raven's Nest
Liz at be present, be here
Dana at sublimation
Chiefbiscuit at As It Happens
Turquoise Cro at Cro Stuff
Pam at Mind Trips
Rose at Live Laugh
(And Ren.Kat, people at the University of Wisconsin-MAdison have found a speck of a zircon crystal believed to be older than dirt, in fact, it is the oldest known piece of earth, at about 4.4 billion years old. So, to answer your question, this is it--the oldest thing ever. Besides me.)

Hi pepe
I just did a similar tag thing on MySpace and am also still dealing with this shoulder problem, so I'll pass this time, but I enjoyed yours!
A nun and a stripper? Very cool! lol Dave and I love our local plays but at $55/couple we don't see them all.
A nun and a stripper? I know, Tammy said it, but wow, too cool. Talk about both ends of the spectrum.
I'll have to work on this. And since my blog roll is short and we visit some of the same places, I don't know if I have eight more people, but I'm game!
Pam, look at the Poetry Thursday list!
pris, I'll check out yours on MySpace! Good luck with that shoulder!
Tammy, pam, :D!
Phew! I was just in my closet!!! I have the same problem throwing or giving away my old wardrobe!!! UG!
I repeat others when I say NUN???!!! and a stripper??!!! LOL Aren't YOU GLAD YOU got married??!!! Look at all that SWEET family!!! YOU have! I had your email written down but can't find it!!! Email me at Bluebirddreamer@aol.com when YOU have a chance! I might skip this Pepek! I never did like the TAG game! Sorry!! but THANK YOU!!! soOOOo much for your compliments! xoCinda ps. HAPPY week-end YOU wild thing YOU! hehe
A shoe gatherer! So! My wife can't chuck them out fast enough. She enjoys buying them, and wearing them a few times, then out they go (to an association, or to someone who could use them). Interesting list. It took all my determination not to comment specifically on number two. There, I did it.
Heh. I must also confess that these were roles I played--the nuns in a play called "Cradle Song," which I did once as 'Joanna' and years later as 'the Prioress.' And the other was in a play called "Idiot's Delight," where I was one of 'Les Blondes.' In this, I also chewed a huge wad of gum and carried a stuffed dog....
I did have a suspicion, which was confirmed by your confession in the last comment. It was your "twice" in the bit about the nuns that alerted me :) I had a friend in high school who once told me she didn't know what to be, a nun or an actress!
tee hee! YOU had me fooled!
Accck! for some reason I cannot seem to figure out when I've been tagged -- and I have all these great intentions of writing the meme, but usually don't. I'm bad. I know it. ;-D
oh darn -- those were nunly roles you played? poo! -- i was kinda getting into the thought of knowing a real(heheh) nun who retrograded to a stripper ... and toying with the idea that she then converted back to her nunly ways. hah! I was thinking, well if opposites attract, then couldn't one person have "opposite" aspects of themselves living in the same psyche?
I will work on the 8 things thingie. But probably not until next week. This week I'm stressing out about having too much actual work (like the paying kind) to do much blogging. or reading blogs. I just couldn't help myself though this morning -- had to check out your assasin blog.
love to you, dear. see you next week prolly.

We sync on your #6, 7 & 8.
Also on family, friends, books, music, chocolate and Anne Lamott.
I would have majored in physics if I'd thought there was any kind of chance I could make a living at it... (My step-mom was an astrophysicist. True story.)

Hi again- been traveling (and will do so again!) so I have to catch up with what the blogs have done.
The nun and the stripper bit? In the privacy of your own bedroom, right?
I eat raw spaggetti. Though I can't spell it.
